The Cozy Up Before The Cool Down

It’s not quite fall yet, but the fall collection has been in the works for quite some time through this summer! I’ve been pondering on Christmas gift baskets since July! Day dreaming about snowy days is something that comes quite naturally to me - as anyone who knows me well would understand. Winter is my happy time. This whole candle making journey started last fall and the first batch was made as Christmas gifts. Crazy to think it’s already been almost a year since my first soy wax was poured! To say I didn’t plan this to turn into a business would be a lie, I definitely hoped to be able to successfully create and sell candles from the start. To create something from scratch, something unique and beautiful, and to have the demand for it as a product is rare. I just feel like I’ve found my niche.

I got my mom on board with creating crochet scarves for the baskets, as she had started crocheting when she became a grandma and my daughter was born 4 years ago. She’s been making blankets and scarves and even some sweaters! Her attention to detail and pride in craft is really obvious when you see and feel how cozy these scarves are. She’s very choosey about what kind of wool she uses and I’ve seen her spend days on a scarf just to unwind the entire thing and start over because she missed just one stitch.

The 3 Wick Mug Candles are something I’ve been wanting to create from day one. Finding the perfect container to use has been tricky to say the least. These clear glass mugs are the right size and will allow the light to shine through all the way to the bottom of the wick. The three wicks allow for a much hotter burn and clean the soy from the edge of the mug quickly - and also create a much better scent throw. I’m very excited to finally have them available and hope to create more in the future! The 4 scents are very similar in that they all include a lot of cinnamon. The Chai is definitely my favorite, as it has a very creamy - almost chocolate undertone.

Finally, the Alpine Morning scent is a eucalyptus / pine scent that really stands out from the rest. When I first received the fragrance I thought it was a bit too masculine for the general population of candle customers, but as it has cured it really is sweeter and warmer. I will definitely be producing a few of them for myself this season! It has a cozy holiday feel mixed with aromatherapy of eucalyptus that I just can’t get enough of. Hope you guys love it too!
